We performed at The Green, a fully accessible venue, in The Pleasance Courtyard between 3rd-21st August 2016. We offered touch tours prior to the show and each performance was listed in the fringe programme as a relaxed performance.
We were interviewed by Theo Bosanquet for Fest Mag - you can read the article here.
Sustainability is important to Moulded Theatre and we are proud to have been shortlisted for the Edinburgh Sustainability Practice Award 2016. |
We received several reviews for Ribbet Ribbet Croak whilst we were in Edinburgh...here is what the reviewers said...
*** The Stage
"Moulded Theatre's happy-go-lucky tale of what happens when Grandma and Grandpa Frog leave the pond is a great success. Moulded Theatre are to be commended on a splendidly blended fun-along show for toddlers, with its full accessibility obviously sensitively prepared."
**** Broadway Baby
"Ribbet Ribbet Croak is a gentle and successful piece of theatre for younger children, as well as being very suitable for PMLD and ASD family groups. The use of sign language to assist with communication is a very good idea."
*** The List
"Green and Kapur make good use of the audience as part of the performance, interlacing plenty of tactile and other sensory elements into the show. There's a great dance sequence to the most wonderfully squidgy music, and tiny bubbles which linger for ages as they float around the space."
**** Threeweeks
"There are bubbles, songs, plenty to see, things to touch and lots of sensory audience participation. My little co-reviewer is still grappling with some theatrical conventions, but she gave it her full attention throughout – which, as parents and carers well know, is no faint praise – and greatly enjoyed the jumping at the end."

Here are a few words from The Pleasance about accessibility at the fringe...
The Pleasance Theatre Trust has long been a believer that theatre of all forms should be enjoyed by all audiences. As part of the 2016 Festival Fringe and through the continued support of Edinburgh University, we are delighted to present a programme of over 230 shows across 23 fully accessible performance spaces. We are also excited to continue working alongside passionate theatre makers who strive to remove any barriers between their work and the audience. Recent years have seen an increase in the provision of touch tours, signed and relaxed performances for those with additional access requirements, which the Pleasance have been keen to help facilitate. Among several productions offering these options in this year's Pleasance programme are companies such as Frozen Light Theatre, whose show 'The Forest' is dedicated to those with severe and multiple learning difficulties, and 'Ribbet Ribbet Croak' by Moulded Theatre, who will give a daily touch-tour of their set ahead of their performance. We are are delighted to be hosting such productions as part of the coming Fringe and look forward to the continued growth of this area of our programme in future years.
Moulded Theatre are proud to support the 25 year anniversary of The Pleasance and Waverley Care.
The Pleasance has been working with Scotland's leading HIV and Hepatitis C charity, Waverley Care, for 25 years this August - helping raise over £41,000 for their vital services in 2015 alone. |
